Maaran was the son of Vetrimaaran (Vijay), a village wrestler who had established a hospital with the help of Daniel and Arjun in his village Manoor thirty years earlier as there was no hospital there because of which all the villagers had to go to Madurai whenever they needed to seek treatment. Daniel and Arjun were also made as the chief doctors of the hospital and the ownership was also transferred to them
Mersal (English: Zapped) is 2017 Indian Tamil-language film directed by Atlee and co-written by Atlee, K. V. Vijayendra Prasad, and S. Ramana Girivasan (dialogue). The film stars Vijay in triple roles with Samantha, Nithya Menon, and Kajal Aggarwal playing the female-lead roles. The background score and soundtrack are composed by A. R. Rahman, while the cinematography is done by G. K. Vishnu and editing is by Ruben. The Telugu dubbed version is titled as Adirindhi.
